WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE?
I welcome the new day with a high frequency. I am convinced that with a positive start to the day, we can decide to tune in to the frequency we want to be on for the day - as well as to send out what we want to attract. The Law of Attraction has taught me that we get back what we put out. That is why it is important for me to start my morning with good routines.
I am an A person and love early mornings. I open the window and practice gratitude.
For many years I have practiced the advanced Tibetans. That way I get down into my body and out of my head. I'm checking in. My most important morning meeting is with myself. Through these simple rites and or yoga exercises, we allow the energy to flow freely. That awareness is good. Everything is energy.
I am also a big fan of sea bathing - all year round - and or a run-in nature. My happiness. Brings dopamine into my body, which I benefit from throughout the day.
Meditation and movement should be natural and easy. We must be conscious. Find out what makes us happy so that it can become sustainable habits.
HOW DO YOU PREFER TO SPEND AN HOUR IN YOUR OWN COMPANY?
I love spending an hour in my own company out in nature. Either with movement and or sea bathing. All year round. It's pure balm. For body and mind. Nature's primitive luxury.
It gives us so much and doesn't expect so much in return. We must look after it - and protect it. There are so many health benefits to be found by spending time in nature.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR SHOWING SELF-LOVE AND PRIORITIZING YOURSELF IN A BUSY DAY?
We must feed ourselves before we can feed others. To me, self-love is being my authentic self. To create balance through a greater knowledge of myself, which can be as simple as getting up 10 minutes earlier every morning and making it a habit to check in.
Everything in life is about priorities.
Our own inner happiness is our fuel, which is why it is important to prioritize in my view. The most sustainable investment is the one we make in ourselves.
Then we stand strong, even when it is very windy.
HAVE YOU MADE A DECISION IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAS BEEN PARTICULARLY GOOD FOR YOU?
To be honest and authentic with myself - and thus with the world around me. To stand strong.
What I contain and thus what I would like to attract. I focus on being aware of the present. A spiritual act that is simple and extremely complex at the same time. Making a choice to enjoy the process. And not just focus on the goal. The journey of life is grand and beautiful.
We create our own reality. It is a good awareness that breeds great freedom and flow. I make a choice every day to focus on what I want to flourish.
WHAT ADVICE, ON CREATING A LIFE IN BALANCE, WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
You are perfect just the way you are, and vulnerability is a strength.
YOUR BEST TIP FOR A STRONG AND HEALTHY BODY AS WELL AS A MIND IN BALANCE?
Balance is a complex quantity, which is why it is a complex question to answer.
We must first and foremost love ourselves. Then we can love others. Love has the highest frequency. If we contain love, that is what we send out. A good tip is to become aware of whether your thoughts are downward or upward. Your thoughts create your feelings which determine your actions, and our subconscious hears everything. So, focus on what you want instead of what you don't want.
Take responsibility, choose your focus – it's your life.
You seem like a positive, fun-loving and reflective person. Are these some values that you have always had and that you prioritize in your daily life?
I have always been fun-loving and perceptive. However, I am convinced that joy and happiness are largely a choice. We can and must train our mental muscle as we train our physical body. Then we can stand strong - also when life hurts.
Having a positive mind is all about daily priorities. I see life's challenges as an opportunity to learn more about myself and life. Instead of looking at it as a problem. I believe that everything is energy. Everything is connected, which is why we must use the cards we have in hand constructively. There is so much wisdom to be found.
I want to live my life with ease, joy, love, and authenticity. We are our own biggest critics. But it must be one of life's greatest freedoms. When you come to the realization that you can do whatever you want. You create your own reality and can never put the responsibility back on others. You are the only one who can be there for you. Everything else is a bonus. So why not choose a positive mind. Choose life.
You are the only one who can dance your dance.
DO YOU HAVE AN EASY BEAUTY TIP THAT WE MAY SHARE?
Health is my beauty ideal. My easiest, most sustainable and budget friendly beauty tip is something as cliche as:
"Smile at the world and it will smile back"
As with everything else in life, beauty in my eyes comes from the inside out. We just shine a little more when we smile at the world. It has never suited anyone to make themselves a victim of anything or anyone. You can reap so much good through a positive radiance.
Tip: Decide to welcome the day with a smile and/or a positive affirmation in the mirror. It sounds trite. But it works.
