Back to work

You have completely unwound, almost forgotten how to log into your email, and the lunch boxes are lying at the bottom of the drawer. You’ve had plenty of time to think about everything except the big tasks at work this fall, the kids’ new gymnastics season, and the weekly meal plans that need to be made.
And boom, everyday life was back again.
Summer vacation is over, and it’s time once again to balance work and pleasure.
A mindful work/life balance, where the calm from the summer vacation, the relaxed shoulders, and the smile on your face are preserved, is the dream.
So why not make an effort to make that happen?
Focus on the positives in everyday life and make sure to get a good start.
Here are some of the things we appreciate ourselves:
- Think of the good summer memories that lift your mood and affect those around you.
- Your kind colleagues.
- Pack an extra nice lunch and treat yourself a little.
- Drink enough water to keep your body well-hydrated - as an extra bonus, it also gives you more beautiful skin. Here at the office, we all use a water bottle that we refill several times a day. That way, we remember to drink, and as a bonus, it keeps the water refreshingly cool.
-
Bring a healthy snack for the trip home, so you don’t get a sugar crash before dinner time.
A rice cake with chocolate, a piece of fruit, or a protein bar, for example. - Go for a run or walk in the fresh air in the evening or whenever you have time. Fresh air is always beneficial, and the bright late summer evenings are still with us for a bit longer.
- Breathe. Give yourself a moment to take a deep breath and send fresh oxygen to your head.
- Grab a glass of cold white wine and soak up the last late summer vibes.
- Sort through your wardrobe and sell, donate or give away what you don’t use.
- Make sure you have some nice basics in your wardrobe so that you feel comfortable in the morning before heading off to work.
