Meet Sunil – our very first sweater knitted on needles.
Sunil is knitted by hand in soft and luxurious mohair in our workshop in Kathmandu - it takes one woman 3 days to knit this beautiful piece of art that will embrace you forever.
The shape of SUNIL is so elegantly classic, with a lovely bell-shaped yoke, knitted in half fisherman's rib followed by a plain knit at the bottom, with a short rib at the neckline.
The sweater is knitted on size 10 needles, taking about 3 days to knit. It is then steamed, linked together, and then packed with love to you.
We have purposely changed the labeling on the SUNIL hand-knit sweater to reflect the more crafted nature of this product versus our more refined cashmere items.
Our founder Camilla Gullits has from the very beginning visited our social workshop to teach our talented employees how to knit. It is It is our true desire to help these communities in Nepal to a better life and at the same time create timeless and lovely designs for socially-responsible people all over the world.
We are amazed to see what hands can do and we truly cherish their craftsmanship and valued commitment.
